Icom proudly announces the debut of the new MF/HF marine transceiver, IC-M801GMDSS.
With the optional antenna tuner AT-141 and control cable OPC-1465, the IC-M801GMDSS meets ITU Class A and MED Wheelmark requirements.
The transceiver is composed of three parts, — main RF unit, controller and speaker — allowing flexible installation into limited space.
The 4x8-inch controller unit has a large LCD, and the buttons and knobs are well layed out to provide simple and quick operation. In addition, a DC-DC converter is built into the main unit. This allows a total reduction in the investment of the radio station.

FEATURES
Built-in DSC, ITU Class A
The IC-M801GMDSS has Class A DSC operation and meets GMDSS requirements and MED 96/98/EC, "wheelmark" requirements for solas regulated vessels.
4x8 inch remote controller
The IC-M801GMDSS offers a popular 4-inch tall remote controller. When set up with the IC-M601 or IC-M505 VHF radio, loom offers you a complete MF/HF/VHF communications station.
Large LCD with dot-matrix characters
The M801GMDSS has the display capability of up to 24 characters x 9 lines in full dot-matrix characters. You can easily read the alphanumeric channel name, DSC information, time, position, etc.
Digital signal processing
The DSP controlled digital IF filter provides flexible filter settings for narrow band signals like SITOR and FSK without having to install an optional narrow filter. The speech compressor increases average talk power.
Very simplified operation
Channel selection is quickly made with the large independent Group and Channel selector dials. Buttons and dials are clearly labelled.
Automatic antenna tuner, AT-141
An optional automatic antenna tuner, AT-141 easily connects to the IC-M801GMDSS. When the tuner cannot tune the antenna, the IC-M801GMDSS bypasses the tuner and displays an alert on the display.
125W (PEP) of output power
A stable 125W* of output power provides reliable long distance communication. The large cooling fan ensures a stable internal temperature even during high duty operation.

24V power supply
The IC-M801GMDSS has a built-in DC-DC power converter, which provides 13.6V DC either from 24VDC.
Numerous operating modes
Several operating modes: J3E (USB/LSB), H3E(AM), J2B (AFSK), F1B (FSK) andA1A(CW) are available.
